Crystal Spire of Karabor 2.0

Have you seen this mace? It’s supposed to drop from Rotface, I believe. Have you looked at the proc yet? Make sure you read it twice.

Each time your spells heal a target you have a chance to cause the target of your heal to heal themselves and friends within 10 yards for 217 each second for 6 seconds.

I’m assuming there’s a 45 second internal cooldown. This mace could come in handy for any class, I’d imagine. Judgment of Light? Chain Heal? Circle of Healing? Wild Growth? You’ll be hardpressed to make the argument for why this mace is hands down better for one class over another.

I know there’s one person in my guild who won’t be getting it.

I’ve already got my legendary. I’m assuming Val’anyr won’t get buffed to bring it in line with 3.3 weapons. Loot Council’s going to have a difficult time with this one (or easy, since it’ll be effective in the hands of any of our healers anyway).

  1. =X Doesn’t seem like it would be AS useful for a Disc priest, right? I mean… I’m sure the melee surrounding the tank would disagree, but it just seems like they would get *slightly* less use of the proc than the raid healers/paladins(JoL hax).

  2. I wouldn’t discount the ability of a discipline priest in this situation. Although the idea of a raid healer would be better, the two spells that come to mind are Prayer of Mending and Binding Heal. I always make sure my PoM is bouncing around, and I tend to use Binding Heal to keep myself and the tank up through AoE damage.

Another, depending on your ability and raid, is shielding. If I see incoming damage to a raid member, and I can pop a shield on them real quick, the heal from the Glyph of Power Word:Shield has a chance to proc the mace effect.

Since it’s not set as a percentage of the heal done, you could just roll a single renew in the ranged for a chance to proc it. I agree with Matt. It makes it a very delicious mace.

  3. I think a Disc priest’s ability to use this one will depend on the proc chance and ICD. If it’s a high chance with the standard 45 sec ICD, then most any class will get use out of it. But if the proc chance is at all low, or if there is a short/nonexistent ICD, then healing more targets is going to be key, and Disc priests (at least tank-healing Disc priests) are probably the healers who heal the least number of targets over any given period of time.

  4. Holy shieht, that’s a nice mace 😀 (But it could look way better…)
If it would not have that terrible hidden cooldown I’d KILL for that thing:D

  5. I can’t see it! It’s over to the right behind the sidebar!

Okay, I’m exaggerating a little. I did see this yesterday on some site, and the possibilities abounded, since my closest toon to being able to heal at that level is a shaman – and nothing says awesome like turning Chain Heal into EVEN MORE AOE HEALS.

  6. If the discipline priest has the Glyph of Power Word: Shield (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42408), they could actually see a lot of use out of this.

However, I am more interested in one specific Holy Priest spell: Lightwell. I haven’t used (or even specced into) Lightwell in quite some time, because DPSers tend not to want to spend the 2 seconds it takes to click on the lightwell (which would benefit from being more like the lightwell in toc imo), but if the heals from it would proc the effect, it might actually be a beneficial spell in certain situations.

Oh, and I am having the same issue where the image that is being displayed is not in the correct location…could be a web browser/javascript sort of thing.
