We took on Leo yesterday and got him down to about 12% on the first try. Five straight attempts saw Leo float around during phase 3 between 15% and 1%. The last one of the night had him at 1% with two of our priests doing everything they can to kill him. Sadly, Smite rendered ineffective. Must make a note to Blizzard to buff Smite.
I have a sinking feeling that we could’ve killed the boss had I gone to repair when the raid leader called for it. But the only that was broken was my enchanted, gemmed T5 shoulders! SURELY it would not have made a difference between 1% and death! …Right? :O
Everything bad IS your fault…for example….global warming. You payed for everyones repair bills right?
Also, your holy priest dps will go up in the patch anyhow… if not exactly a buff to smite. The 1/3 of your +healing from items = spell damage = 500-600 + damage for any healer at your point of progression (which makes the leo fight sooooo much better).
Also, don’t be a noob and repair if the opportunity is given. After a wipe and you don’t have an SS, corpse run back, zone in, zone out, repair outside of SSC (you ARE exalted with cenarion, right?), zone back in and by then most people will be rezzed and have a lock summon you back. Same goes with TK, but even easier since you release with full life right beside a repair guy. Or, if you have a friendly engineer with repair bot mats supplied by the guild bank, after a few wipes get one thrown out there for the whole raid to repair and keep on going.
Oh, another thing. EVERYONE had a flask, right? And food buffs? Definite must haves, espcially on progression raids. If not, that coulda been your 1% right there…
Come onnnn, we’re better then that. Mana oils, food, flasks, the whole works. You know we’d use Ony buffs too if we could.
And yeah, I zoned in, then zoned out..
…into a horde raid.
Leo’s last 20% are so nasty, its basically where 95% of guilds wipe over and over. My only suggestion is to chill and focus, panicking is the last thing you need, besides that get one of your rogues/hunters to bring some repair bots.
