Figured this would be as good time as any to say “HI” and I appreciate the blog on the healer woes and yeah’s. I started playing WoW in July after vowing never to do another MMORPG after the dupe issues with D2 a fw years ago… then a friend of mine got me started here and as my OCD re-kicked in and instatiable need to go after the perverbial carrot… I am now playing routinely.
I am now and have been for a couple weeks a 70 Holy/Disc Priest and have referenced you site often as i came into cLVL 55+
Thanks to you and Kirk I have geared much towards MP5s and have hit +heals over 1600. I learned FAST in later dungeons and Kara that the spam flash in panic was a horrible waste of a high +heals and through reading your blog and your linked friends have adopted a better way and timing for lower ranked GHeals. My favorite “Renew” with the occasional PoM thrown out… especially during BOSS AOE hits I know are coming I hit myself with a POM as it instantly heals me and moves on to the next (Hopefully missing the backhole of the LOK) thus freeing me to NOT have to heal self… and reducing my follow-up heals to a 5 rank GHeal and Renew and pause to get into a good 2 ticks of being outside of the FSR… has greatly helped my mana mamagement! Thanks to you for that!
As far as yourarticle concerning Loot Dispersal and the DKP system… Great information I passed to the guild I’m in. Fortunatley the guild I am in uses the NEED of the guild method and fortunatley have been outfitted very fast and given priority for healer drops as most of them are wither geared already or using ALT’s and so defer the drops to me as NOW the drops are going to the newer Kara run members… a nice thing and greatly improves the progression and sustainability of the guild.
Well enough for a first reply to ya and keep up the good work and aside from not being the biggest hockey fan in the world since the last strike… I find the niche sport of curling to be mildley addicting to watch.
