WP Bloggers: Get Into WPDesigner’s $5 Themes Club for Free

For some bloggers, one of the hardest things anyone can do is find a theme for their site that they like and enjoy. WPDesigner’s Small Potato has formed a $5 Themes Club. Out on the web, you’ll find a ton of premium WordPress themes that cost an arm and a leg to download and use. Some of them are indeed membership based where you have to pay some kind of a subscription in order to access them.

In any case, the $5 will grant you an all access one year pass to all the club themes that get produced as well as the themes that have been made. Just don’t sell them or give them away. Feel free to use it for your own blogs and such. You can expect at least 12 WordPress themes throughout the year.

20000 accounts are being given out and Small Potato was awesome enough to sponsor a non-blogging and non-wordpress blog with 50 free accounts for readers of World of Matticus. So if you’re struggling with the idea of starting a blog because you need a look to go with it, never fear! Blogging may not be for everybody, but it shouldn’t be because of a lack of design. Also note that 20000 accounts x $5 = $100000 worth of accounts.

Even if you already are satisfied with the way your current blog layout is, can you say that 6 months from now? Well, you probably can.

Here’s how you get in on this deal:

  • Leave a comment that says you’d like one (Bonus points if you RP it)
  • Double check your email and ensure it is valid
  • Check said email in a few hours
  • Coupons expire at the end of 2008

I don’t know about you guys, but I like things simple. I think the rules are fairly simple.

  1. As the lady woke and drank her warm chocolate coffee while perusing her favorite authors she saw an offer she couldn’t refuse. The chance to brighten up her own places on the world wide web. Matticus the Kind was offering these wonderful accounts. With trepidation she asks…Please sir…May I?

  2. The boomkin yawns and wakes from a nap to see a new wanted sign outside her teepee.

She shuffled over to the neighbourhood noticeboard-tree to see her favourite blogger had an offer up that sounded pretty darn good.

She danced with excitement, turned into a purple owl and flew to the nearest mail to ask Matticus… I can haz prize?

  3. “So, who wants this one?” he asked with an excited grin, his luminescent gaze darting from one companion to the other. “Liv?”

Across the room, the mage shrugged. “Not particularly interested, here,” she mumbled, stifling a yawn.

Undaunted, Rhese turned to his sister. “Rhoe?”

The young priest looked up from her mortar and pestle, smiling gently. “We all know you want it for yourself, luan’el. Just go. I’ll not stand in the way of your fun.”

His wide, excited smile made her laugh, and she shooed him quickly out the door. A thought, a whisper of power, and a puff of smoke later, a sleek purple cat sprinted off down the lane.

With a smirk, Livaeya watched him go. “So transparent, that guy.” She shook her head in fond exasperation. “Wanna take bets on whether he actually reaches Matticus or gets distracted on the way?”

Rolling her eyes, Rhoelyn picked up the vial by her elbow and started measuring in her herb mixtures. “I find myself more concerned that he will introduce himself with a Pounce. Remember how well that went over with TripleB?”

“Mm. Yes. Apparently, bear beats cat.” The setting sun lit up the dost motes that their quiet laughter stirred.

  4. With tired eyes from staring at the computer screen and surfing pron (read: WOW blogs) all day, he starts to read Matticus’ latest post…

“Ow! Something just hit me in the arse!” I turn around and see a boot stuck up there. Dwarven boots, no less. “I thought you had the Archbishop’s Slippers,” I say to the little man.

“Too soft,” stated Mallet, as he takes a drink of Volatile Rum. “Ya needed a good swift kick in the rear to start yer’ bloggin’. Now get a move on.”

“But I need a theme to make it look good,” he says.

“Quit yer’ bitchin,” yells Mallet, chastising me with a quick spell. He throws the Lower City Prayerbook and tells me to look inside.

“Wow. [No pun intended] Themes galore. Thanks Mallet!” But he was already gone. I saw him ride away on his epic mount, pen in one hand, mug in the other.

So then I decided to sit down, pick a theme, and start blogging…

“What do you say? Help a sweet girl fix her drab, grey layout?”

  7. Matticus, thanks for bringing this to the WoW blogging community. I’d also be interested in a coupon code, just to see what’s offered (and since I’ve been contemplating a theme switch).

Anyway, this is great for the community, and I hope more people take advantage of it!

  8. As the various aspects of Bremm look at how they’re represented in the blog, they begin to take up a gold collection to help the author buy a custom site and move from silly silly blogger to a real blog solution. And they point him to this free coupon thing. And hope that Matticus helps him make the switch.

  9. Zahrah looked woefully at the faded pages of her Log. Water from her recent tumble into Storm wind Canals whilst trying to reel in a 15 Pound fish had caused the pages to crinkle. Having to buy Flint and wood to make a fire to dry herself and her log up was embarrassing and even more so when pulling money out her bag also brought out some odd looking bones and a puddle of water on the Shops floor. She had thrown the General Merchant an apologetic look and fled to an alley behind the auction house to build a fire.
‘I need a new book’ She thought watching the ink run rivers across the battered pages, ‘a new look, a new cover’. She sat slumped on the cobblestones and sobbed, blue hair drying into a frizz, Dejected she squished her way to the local Inn, looking for a room for the night or so she could at least change into her healing set that had kept dry. After speaking to the innkeeper she headed upstairs, passing the notice board. “Matticus – Giving away new Look logs – “ See trade channel for more details.
/w Matticus – I just dropped my Log into the canals, I am in desperate need of somewhere to write and writing logs are hard to come by these days….
